You are viewing the html version of Creative Template SCMS3X. To see the flash version please follow this link.

This module can be found in /modules/m_blog.
A blog assembles articles and other modules. You can justify the layout in many different ways. Define the number of leading articles, columns or sort order.
--cut--To create a new blog alias go to „Modules" in the main menu of SCMS3X. You will see a list of all installed modules. Select m_blog and a list of all created aliases will appear on the right. Select on to copy or press „New” to start a new blnk blog alias.
The editor form will appear. Decide if you want to make a category blog or a list blog. If you choose a category all articles according to this category will appear in this blog. Or you can select articles and swf modules from the list below.
After that make the layout settings:
Show titles: Yes to display the article or module titles.
Title css class: Select one from the list, but be sure that this class exists in your css file. (See „Templates”)
This to settings only take affect, if your template uses embedded fonts. (See „Templates”)
Columns: Select a number from the list. The contentArea width will be splitted in similar columns.
Leading articles: Select a number from the list for the leading articles. They will use the whole areas width and will lead the article list in the blog. Leave blank if you don't want to have a leading article.
Sort order and sort option: Leave blank and the articles will appear in that order they are saved in the xml file. You can use the article ID or the date to sort the articles in the blog.
If there are swf modules in the blog list (f.e. m_form) the sort option does have no affect.
After all work is done press „Save” and you will be prompted to input an alias. It will be the file name also. It is not necessary to add the extension .xml, I will be added automatically.
To make this blog visible you have to link it to a menu or link to it from any article. (See „Menus”)
Important: You can add only articles or swf modules to a blog list. All other modules will cause an error and nothing will be displayed in the blog.
