Background
The template.swf is loaded into the background layer. All other content will appear in front of the templates background. The creativeX standard template has a slideshow background. The image list and the dealy setting can be found in templates/creativeX/xml/creativex.xml.
--cut--Content Areas
The content areas will display the module aliases as articles, blogs, galleries and so on. Content areas can have an own background, and will have scrollbars horizontal and vertical if necessary. There are many more layout options regarding size and position.
Position and size is defined in templates/creativeX/xml/template.xml. You can edit the content areas in the template editor.
Menu Areas
Menu areas holds the menus (here:cssmenu, footermenu). Menu areas don't have scrollbars but can contain an own background. There are a lot of layout option regarding size and position, e.g. dynamically positions at the bottom or corners. The template engine listens to resize events to adjust positions and sizes.
Gallery Layer
The gallery layer is at the top level and is used to display fullscreen images and videos.
